This book is a collection of articles, mostly from “The Observer”. The first two are in fact what lead to “The Art of Coarse Rugby” being commissioned in the first place – “Gentlemen Will Please Refrain” and “Extraordinary Extra B”. Despite the title, there are a couple of pieces about cricket – which I presume were written during the cricket season. The last 7 of the 26 articles are the Saga of Fiona and Rodney, a young lady and her rugby playing on-and-off fiance.
